Well it's finally Friday! I praise the various dieties for that fact. Tomorrow I take one step closer to making my career change. Wish me luck and in conclusion, happy weekend everyone!

High tumbleweed

Out where I live we get overrun with tumbleweeds. They usually just do their thing tumbling along the ground, but this one decided to get a different view of the world.

The words won't flow today. The only thing on my mind is this ridiculous self evaluation and performance review I have to fill out for my job. They want me to write down some goals. How about my goal of getting out of this deadend job and into one where there is actually hope of advancement and periodic pay raises?

I got a few strange looks from students on the campus of BYU while I was there photoing. You see, I graduated from the University of Utah not long ago. The U of U just happens to be the hated rival of BYU, so naturally I was wearing a University of Utah sweatshirt while I was out shooting. Heh heh... bet they thought we were preparing to invade or something.

Today I feel like crap. I just want to go bowling, or to the park, or to Idaho to buy lottery tickets, or back to where I shot this photo and sit in the grass. I want to do anything other than sit in a cubicle all day and talk to jackasses on the phone. Grrrr.... it's time to make that career change. Fortunately I am doing so, and hope to be walking out the door of a certain godforsaken organization sometime in June!

The good thing about starting this photoblog is that it drives me to visit places I ordinarily wouldn't visit. Even though I have driven past Veteran's Memorial Park everyday on my way to work for over a year, I had never stopped there until this weekend.
